How do Chaste Tree Berries work?
A large amount of work has been carried out, particularly in Germany, and, according to Dr Rudolf fritz Weiss it works specifically on the hormonal functions of the hypothalamus and pituitary, and, therefore, could have a beneficial effect where PMS type symptoms are evident through oestrogen imbalance. One particular study in Germany involved an extensive survey of 1542 women with a diagnosis of PMS. Liquid Chaste Berry was given for a 166 days. At the end of the course over 90% reported complete relief from the symptoms. A further study was conducted on 57 women with abnormal menstrual cycles - again liquid Chaste Berry was given over a nominated period and 50 women claimed a return to normal menstrual activity.
